Evergreen Trees

Fast growing. Height to 20′. Width to 4-5′. Likes afternoon shade. Reddish, exfoliating bark adds additional interest.

Fast growing. Height 12-15′. Width 3-4′. Likes afternoon shade. Emerald green color holds well throughout winter. Densely compact, columnar form with twigs arranged in vertical planes.

Medium growing. Height 15-20′. Width 8′. Columnar habit and densely needled, upright branches make it an ideal plant for a smaller space. Should be wrapped in the winter to avoid snow damage

Medium growing. Height 30-40′. Width 15-20′. Coniferous evergreen with low-spreading branches and a broad, flat-topped habit at maturity. Dark green needles, that can be either straight or curved, densely cover the branches. Likes sun. Grows 1-2 feet per year once established. One of the best EVERGREENS for Utah soils.

Colorado Spruce     Medium growing. Height 60-80′. Width 20-35′. The Colorado Spruce is a pyramidal, evergreen conifer. The needles are bluish-green in color and very prickly. Likes sun. Grows 8-10 inches per year once established. Will not tolerate extended periods of drought.

Height 15′-18’. Width 6’-8’. Bright blue-green needles on a narrowly upright and columnar form with branches that fork upwards at a sharp angle. Great used as an accent and tight spaces along fences and walls for a living screen.

Mugo Pine     Slow growing. Height 3’- 4’. Width 5’-8’. Zone 3. Full Sun. Mounding, hardy wind proof conifer. Long needle-like leaves in rich, dark green bunches. Produces solitary or small clusters of reddish brown cones in summer. Dense, upright habit of growth. Excellent for form, texture and color in the garden. Prune off
